Union Minister SSI & ARI , Respected Shri Mahabir
Prasad was on a visit to Mumbai
on 9th March 2005. During the visit,
the Hon'ble Union Minister held meeting with the
representatives of leading industry associations and
listened to the problems & difficulties faced by the
SSI Units. The Hon'ble Union Minister also held meeting
with Hon'ble Minister for Industry
,Govt of Maharashtra, Respected Shri Ashok Chavan.
Secretary (Industries), Govt. of Maharashtra, Chairman
,Coir Board, Commissioner, Khadi and Village Industries,
Directors of SISI, Mumbai & Nagpur, RTC , CGM, NSIC,
High Level Officials of SIDBI, State Govt. and IDEMI. The
Hon'ble Union Minister reviewed the working of various
organizations and advised to coordinate with state Govt.
in the best possible manner. He assured all possible help
for SSI units in coming days. Earlier,
Shri P.K.Mukherjee, Director, SISI,Mumbai highlighted
the different activities introduced at SISI, Mumbai.

Global Cosmenutrics Exhibition at SISI, Mumbai

Respected Union Secretary (SSI
& ARI), Shri Anupam Das Gupta, IAS, inaugurated the
1st Global Cosmenutrics Exhibition at SISI,
Mumbai on 4th March 2005.Shri P.K.Mukherjee
Director SISI Mumbai welcomed the Guests and Dignitaries. The
inaugural function was graced by Ms
Sharwaree Gokhale, IAS, D.C.(Industries) Govt. of
Maharashtra, Shri Vijay Mathankar IAS M.D.MSSIDC, Ms
Maya Sinha,IRS, Commissioner, Khadi and Village
Industries,and many other Senior Officials . The
programme was arranged in collaboration with Bomay Small Scale
Industies Association and All India Small Scale Cosmetic
Manufactures Association.
The Exhibition “Look 2005”
and the Seminar arranged for Beauty
Parlour Segment received special attention from
industries in the two days event. Shri S. Vijaykumar Deputy
Director (Chemical) was the coordinator of the event. The
impact in terms of Business Generation and Future Prospects is
being ascertained.

Scale Industries), Shri Satyanand Mishra, IAS, visited SISI Mumbai on 27th January 2005. Respected AS&DC(SSI) met SISI Officers
and he was given a brief presentation about the special activities undertaken by of SISI, Mumbai.
