National Convention on Cosmetics

 

A National Convention on Cosmetics was organised at World Trade Centre on 26^th & 27^th September, 2006.  Hon’ble Minister for Labour, Food & Drug Administration, Govt. of Maharashtra, Shri Baba Siddique inaugurated the Convention.  The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Shri Satish Wag, Chairman, CHEMEXCIL, Shri Raksh Pal Abrol, President, BSSIA, Mrs. Kajal Anand, President, AISSCMA, Mrs. Rupa Naik, Executive Director, AIAI & Shri G.M.Ambhore, Director, SISI Mumbai.

The convention covered technical sessions on skin care, hair care, color cosmetics and aroma therapy. Faculties deliberated on ingredients, manufacturing techniques, quality assurance, branding, marketing strategy and financial assistance. About 100 delegates attended the Convention.  A Souvenir was also released during the convention.

Interaction Meet with Bankers on Cluster Development Programme

SISI Mumbai organised an Interaction Meet with Bankers on Cluster Development and SME financing on 13^th October 2006.  Reserve Bank of India actively supported the interactive meet. Shri V.S.Karunakaran, Industrial Advisor, O/o. Development Commissioner (SSI) New Delhi addressed the gathering of Bankers and representatives of cluster. Shri A.K.Pandey, General Manager, RBI was the Chief Guest. Shri Pandey appealed all the Bankers to consider SSI financing on priority basis. Shri G.M.Ambhore, Director, SISI Mumbai presented the MSMED Act . Shri Chandrashekhar Reddy, Programme Director, NRCD, NISIET, Hyderabad gave the powerpoint presentation on methodology involved in cluster development and SME financing. Shri K. Jaydevan, Joint Secretary, TBIA also attended the programme.  65 participants from Banks, Industries Associations and State & Central Govt. Officials attended the Meet.
